Kailua Resident Survey

On Sep. 10, Alexander & Baldwin sent a survey to 16,000 residential households in Kailua, giving all area residents an opportunity to provide direct feedback about the issues facing their community and what they want for its future.

As a prominent commercial property owner in Kailua, A&B is proud to be part of this community. The survey is one component of our ongoing engagement and commitment to gather community feedback that will help inform our plans for the future of Kailua Town.

Ward Research, a respected, local, third-party research firm was commissioned to conduct the survey. Residents may fill out and return the paper survey by mail or they may choose to provide their responses online, whichever is most convenient for them.

The deadline for submitting responses is Oct. 1. We encourage Kailua residents to complete the survey. If you didn’t receive a mailer, please contact (808) 585-2309 or wrsurvey@wardresearch.com.

We will continue to have discussions with community organizations, hold listening sessions with residents, business owners and community leaders and meet face-to-face with members of the community.

Kailua Farmers’ Market Canceled – 8/23

Parking Lot Improvements Schedule

July 26, 2018

As part of The Lau Hala Shops renovation, a parking lot seal coat and restriping project is set to start on Monday, July 30, 2018. The project will be split up into three phases, only affecting one parking lot section at a time.

As always, please pay attention to ongoing construction work and be aware of your surroundings to ensure safe access for pedestrians and drivers around the construction area. Additional customer parking will be available inside the parking garage, 2nd floor throughout construction.

Monday, July 30 – Wednesday, August 1
Phase 1: Beginning on asphalt closest to the parking structure. Work area in red will be closed off.  Remainder of parking lot (except bus staging area) will remain open.

Monday, August 6 – Wednesday, August 8
Phase 2: Middle section of open parking lot. Work area in green will be closed off. Remainder of parking lot (except bus staging area) will remain open.

Monday, August 13 – Wednesday, August 15
Phase 3: Parking lot section closest to Hahani Street. Work area in orange will be closed off. Remainder of parking lot (except bus staging area) will remain open.



Alexander & Baldwin to Provide Free Shuttle Service for Kailua Fireworks Show

HONOLULU (June 21, 2018) – Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. (A&B) continues its commitment to support the Kailua July 4th Fireworks and Twilight Air Show for the fifth consecutive year, with a $10,000 donation to support the annual show. In addition, the company will be providing free shuttle service to Kailua Beach to help ease traffic congestion.

Attendees are welcome to park at any of A&B’s retail locations in Kailua Town. The shuttle will start at the Lau Hala Shops parking lot (old Macy’s parking lot) beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, and will transport passengers to and from Kailua Beach Center for the show approximately every 20 to 30 minutes. The last pick-up before the fireworks begin will be at 7:30 p.m. and services will resume at 8:15 p.m. at Kailua Beach Center. The last return trip to Lau Hala Shops in Kailua Town will be at 10:20 p.m.
